-SUNDAY, JULY 17 WILL BE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO SEE THE BISON FOSSIL AND THE LOCALE WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED IN OLGA.


This fund-raiser is a kick-off for future growth and to transform our Orcas Museum into a museum worthy of world-class recognition.


We are reminded that:

1- The bison skull is the most complete skull of its size to have ever been found in the world.
2- It has been carbon dated to 14,000 years!
3- Our skull and collection of over 90 bones was in the top 10 of the most significant scientific discoveries in the WORLD in 2009 (Discover Magazine).
4- This discovery will change the science textbooks.


Come participate and support the future growth of your museum. Be a part of a special museum holding world class artifacts!


ARCHAEOLOGISTS FROM CANADA, SEDRO-WOOLLEY AND SEATTLE WILL JOIN US TO DISCUSS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS 14,000 YEAR OLD BISON ANTIQUUS FOSSIL.THESE SCIENTISTS HAVE RECEIVED MAJOR RECOGNITION FROM THE STATE OF WASHINGTON IN OLYMPIA FOR THEIR STUDY OF THIS DISCOVERY.


MARTIN LUND AND GENE NERY WILL ENTERTAIN US AND ORCAS STORE WILL CATER.


ORCAS EVENTS WILL HAVE US DECORATED WITH SPECTACULAR TENTS AND TABLE SETTINGS.


THE EVENT WILL BE ON TRAILHEAD ROAD, OLGA (THE OLD DNR ROAD TO OBSTRUCTION PASS PARK.)
